1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
We loved every moment of our vacations, but the most memorable was probably staying with the Berber family in the Atlas Mountains. It was such an amazing experience, making bread, eating the local food, mixing with the locals, visiting the village of Imlil and having the most amazing views to the mountains. Riding the camels was a hit with my two boys too! I also discovered my new passion for mint tea!2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Perhaps be ready to lower your standards, especially when it comes to stay with the Berber family. I’m spite of being a basic accommodation, for us it was a total highlight. Be relaxed about the Moroccans, they are lovely, friendly people. Just be aware when you are shopping. Make sure you haggle and set your price!3. We had a local guide and stayed in local hotels, a Berber homestay, so some of our money definitely went to the local community. We also had cous cous demostration by the small local communities. We still had quite a lot of driving, though, although it was a small bus.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
The trip was well-organised and we were very well-looked after by our local guide Said, who was a very nice man who was absolutely fantastic with the kids making the experience fun. He brought us closer to the Moroccan culture, and my kids absolutely loved it. I’m giving 5 stars based on the actual trip in Morocco, although I found the communication with the operator before the trip not so easy.Holiday Reviews
