1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
The Zulu War battlefields were the focus with plans for 3 days safari, 2 days boer war and welcome additions offered that gave additional Natal experiences.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
If you are interested in the Zulu War give yourselves 5 full days days touring at Fugitives Drift Lodge. After visiting Isandlwana include a full day to see the Ingwe & Mangeni Falls fleshing out Chelmsford & the Zulu Impi's actions at Isandlwana. The graves & Fugitive's Drift in the morning a Rorkes Drift in the afternoon another day.Then a day seeing Blood River & the Prince Imperial's grave. The two full day tours include a packed lunch will probably private as they are bespoke and less requested. They are worth the effort.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
All the above.Each place we stayed benefited the local communities supporting conservation and the environment as well as providing local jobs and encouraging interaction between guests and staff.. Everywhere we went we were enthusiastically welcomed -the people were lovely.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
It was amazing. We loved Natal, the places and the people. All our accommodation was exceptional. We got what we wanted (Zulu sites) and other options, coastal, wetlands, wildlife, landscapes that are a photographers dream, great food, even a trip to through the stunning Simi Pass Lesotho for lunch at the highest pub in Africa. We had opted to be escorted to & from locations with excellent guides and drivers if there was ever concern about security.The arrangements were spot on. All I asked for and more.Holiday Reviews
