1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Kayaking on the river was brilliant. We really enjoyed the kayaking and Charlie was a great guide showing us how to go over the weirs. The cycling along by the river was really good too. We loved swimmimg in the river to cool off at the end of the day. We enjoyed walking in the mountains apart from when we lost the path and got stuck in the bracken and brambles! But I guess thats all part of the adventure.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Just get on and book the trip. You won't regret it. Go with a sense of adventure and be willing to give everything a go!3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
It benefitted local people as we used local shops, cafes and pubs. The glamping site is in a peaceful area in beautiful countryside. The site is in keeping with the natural environment. It is a small family run business that really cares about the environment and Charlie was keen to show us the best places in the area from the majestic, beautiful mountains close to the site to the viaduct and the River Barrow where we walked, cycled, kayaked and swam. They grow their own food in raised beds to be as self sufficient as they can, we were able to sample some fresh grown vegetables from their garden. They use natural products and toiletries in their cabins.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
I would rate this vacation as fantastic. Charlie and Clem are excellent hosts and did an amazing job at ensuring we had a brilliant vacation. The glamping site was amazing and so calm and peaceful in a beautiful part of Ireland. Charlie planned some great walks for us and took us out on the kayaks on the river which was great fun, we then continued kayaking to St Mulllins and were picked up by Rachel and taken back. We had an action packed 4 days full.of adventure. There is so much to do and places to explore. We are definitely considering coming back! The cabin was suburb, it had everything we needed and we loved the amazing view from the bedroom with the large picture window. We loved relaxing in the outdoor kitchen in the evenings enjoying a meal.and reading in the comfy swing chairs. We are so glad we booked this vacation.Holiday Reviews
