1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

A memorable vacation to a unique land. Our host, Phil, was outstanding. His place is in a tiny town in the hills of Central Wales, about 20 minutes from the spectacular coastal trail. He is a walker/hiker of exceptional accomplishment, knows every track in Wales, and gave us most excellent guidance about where to go. He also was our guide on a memorable ascent of Cader Idris, one of the highest peaks in Snowdonia. Highly recommended for fit hikers (can be difficult in bad weather—take Phil, or at least his advice, and rain gear!)

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

The accommodation is very nice. One large, one medium double; and one quite small single. His breakfasts were excellent. And vegetarian. He will cater to all flavors of veg, but we had no trouble getting him to feed us vegan or nearly-vegan cuisine. All delicious and filling.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Vegetarianism always benefits the environment, locally and globally. Wish we could have spent more time in Wales. A Welsh poet, W.H. Davies, wrote: What is this life if, full of care, We have no time to stand and stare… This is the place to walk and walk, and stand and be comforted and amazed by this wonderful country.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Wonderful. I'd give it 5 stars, but the ratings below require 5 to be the best vacation ever, which I can't quite say.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

The area is offering so much - I simply couldn't walk and explore enough. After a long day, there was always time for a cup of tea and a little chat.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

It's a great getaway when you need a break from your daily routine and a stressful lifestyle. You'll have loads of space and a warm bed awaiting when you're coming back from wandering around or mountainbiking.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Definitely. The area itself is very well-preserved and people are trying hard to keep it that way. The products used were mainly locally grown as well (Birchgrove eggs, you can see - and hear! - the cows producing the milk you're having with your cereals). A great place to stay!

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

I would highly recommend that bed and breakfast to anyone who needs some time away from the crouds and from their lives. I felt like staying even longer as Phil (the host) made my stay a very pleasant one and kept giving me insider-tips where to hike out to or what to do. He was very helpful.
