1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

Victoria Falls, camping in fantastic local campsites, the excellent guides

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Doing the 'reverse itinerary' from Victoria Falls to Cape Town gives you the luxury of a wonderful guest house at the end, to sort yourself out for traveling home. Otherwise you are ending at a fine, but basic camp site in your smallish tent.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Local tribes such as the Himba now rely on tourists buying from them - take the opportunity. The camps in the national park benefit from tourist spend.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Probably our best ever vacation

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

The herd of elephants coming towards the waterhole we were parked up near and playing, washing and cooling down for around 45 minutes.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Bring a few memory cards, bring a long lens if you can, take advantage of the activity time and just enjoy.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes. We bought from local communities and were always encourage to refill our water bottles. I found that people in Namibia cared a lot about their country and the environment.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Incredible.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

A river crossing of a group of elephants at Chobe Nat. Park (Botswana). Simply amazing ! As a NatGeo documentary in front of my eyes. Speechless!!!

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

To be prepared. Desert of Namib can be tough

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Absolutely yes!

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Just a little negative note : a couple of campsites in Southern Namibia are poor. All the rest simply fantastic : guides, landscapes, and a ton of incredible emotions.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

For me the National Parks were always going to be the highlight and they didn't disappoint. Etosha and Chobe are so different from each other but both have lots of interesting animals. We saw a cheetah family with a fresh kill, several black rhino, more giraffe and elephants than you could ever hope for and a good number of hippos at Chobe too. We also had some very dramatic weather in the shape of two major thunderstorms, made all the more exciting/scary by the fact we were camping. Some wonderful sunsets and mostly great campsites.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Read the trip notes! Take the currency they suggest ie SARand plus USDollars. The guide will help you get the Pula for Botswana so not need to worry about that and you can use SARand in Namibia. Take malaria tabs from Swakopmund onwards, and use a good anti-mossie spray. Take an elastic camping washing line with hooks on the end, and a head torch.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes we supported local bars and the food we ate was sourced locally from each place. Most of the bigger sites had good recycling systems and were cleaned. The trips and transport were provided by local people.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

It was good (excellent bar the stomach bug and the window of the bus breaking), well organised - an experience!
