Make sure you have a hire car and are onfident driving, as the road up to the house is tight and twisty.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Swimming in the pool while the sun set with the leaning tower of Pisa in the distance.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
It's ideally located between Pisa and Lucca, Pisa for the tower and Lucca is a wonderful old Italian town. Although only 90 minutes away Florence seemed a long way off in the heat of the summer while sitting by the pool. Give the pizza oven a go3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes. From the solar panels to the organic garden where were we encouraged to help ourselves it was clear Colin and Luisa put a lot of effort into reducing the environmental impact. The location means it is possible to visit without a car, although we found it very help to have one.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
