1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Exhilarating sailing across turquoise and sky blue seas, feeling the boat at one with the elements. It was an absolute pleasure to spend the week with our skipper and scholar Sotiris, whose knowledge of the Aegean, its islands, history, culture, and great restaurants would be hard to beat. We loved visiting the ports of Naxos, Paros and Syros, and jumping off at the tiny harbours of Iraklia and Schinoussa. Putting down anchor and swimming in the middle of the sea, all alone but for the birds and the fish is one of the great experiences to be had in this life.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Highly recommended for people who enjoy each other's company. You will spend a lot of time together in the cockpit and cabin, so go with a good attitude to sharing and caring, and you will be fine. Also remember that Sotiris needs to know what you want to do so he can tailor the vacation to suit you, as well as the requirements of the winds and the currents. Be flexible and enjoy the adventure!3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes. We ate at small local restaurants, and bought supplies locally from bakeries and grocery shops. There were facilities for recycling plastic on the boat, and we were given a cloth shopping bag so as to avoid accepting plastic bags in shops.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
We had a wonderful time and would do it again in a heartbeat. A perfect combination of seascapes and landscapes, sun and wind, exercise and relaxation, exploration and education - and for us a much-needed break with our dear family. We added another week which we organised independently, with three days on Syros, where the boat trip ended, and three days in Athens to enjoy the Acropolis and the Cyclades Museum, to learn even more about the islands we had visited. The operator generously provided useful advice about places to visit on Syros, where we hired a car to explore the interior.Katherine Bussy review 18 Aug 2019

Yes, we ate in family run taverns, tried local food and supported local economies. However it is still tourism and the hope is that somehow this can sustain communities throughout the year too somehow4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
