Reviews for Manali trekking tour, foot hills of Himalaya
Pam Harris review 18 Nov 2025
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
All of northern India was fantastic. I loved so many places - trekking in the Himalayas, the foothills odf the Himalayas are beautiful & well worth it for people who don't want high altitude. Mussoorie was a great base. Lucknow was also a fabulous city. My tiger safaris were fabulous, esp sighting a mother and 2 cubs. Panna & Bhandavgarh were great places to go on safari. Kharjuraho was also excellent for the UNESCO World Heritage Temples site and for the lovely waterfall a little way out of town.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Definitely use an Indian travel agent - Ravindra was excellent. Having a travel agent who can speak the local language, is living in the country & is there and in the same time zone as you if you have a problem and who has contacts throughout the country; is an enormous benefit to any travel plans.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes - I was using all locally based guides, eating locally and used trains where possible and tried to be as environmentally aware and responsible wherever possible.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Excellent. I loved northern India and would love to come back some day.Holiday Reviews
