1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
The accommodations and setting of the farmhouse were gorgeous. The rooms were spacious and beautiful, each with a private bath, and with shuttered window with spectacular views of the countryside. The hikes took us to a variety of sites. After hiking, we relaxed on the lawn or took a dip in the pool and enjoyed champagne brought out by Marina. Cooking together was fun and informative. Of course, the best part was eating the delicious food we made. The host, Marina is a big reason this trip was so memorable. She is beyond gracious - truly makes you feel at home. She has a great sense of humor which made us feel we were spending time with an old friend, not a proprietor.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Don't hesitate to spend to book this trip. You will not regret it.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Absolutely. Marina sent us to a local winery for an amazing lunch and wine tasting. We also toured the winery and had an opportunity to purchase wine and have it shipped home. We visited a small, local town, Ovieto, which is beautiful. We shopped and had lunch together - Marina's treat! We also had the opportunity to purchase olive oil produced by Marina and her husband from olives grown on their land. It is clear from the way Marina and her husband live that they love the land. They grow much of their own produce and buy from local farmers. They compost. And, they run their business with an eye toward minimizing environmental impacts by arranging group transportation for outings, driving small cars, and proving accommodations in renovated buildings that keep the rooms cool in the summer without air-conditioning and cozy in the cooler months.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
The five days spent here were the highlight of our two-week trip. It was just the right amount of hiking, cooking and relaxing. I wish the stay here was longer. We could not have enjoyed it more. And, the setting is absolutely stunning.N Rodrigues review 20 Jun 2022

Our host participated in keeping the local area rubbish free and this was extremely noticeable. We also had a local walking guide who was also able to provide yoga and sightseeing if requested4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
