1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
So many memorable experiences but - the visits to the villages, meeting local people and learning about the local way of life in Baltistan and the Hunza - the journeys along the Karakoram Highway and the overland return along the Indus Valley. - the trek to Passu glacier - the wonderful mountain views2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Enjoy being well looked after by your guide (we had Muneer) and the drivers who know the roads. We were able to visit places that would have been very difficult if traveling independently. Tip: remember to put sunscreen protection on your lips. I didn’t and my lips got a bit chapped.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Definitely benefited local people. Muneer handled our kitty and made sure we tipped appropriately at each visit where we had a guide. The operator place great emphasis on sustainability and education and support projects promoting this. It’s a young company and very progressive in its thinking and planning.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Everything was superbly managed. There was excellent communication before our arrival and during our stay. Hina set up a WhatsApp group for us with our guide Muneer which worked well. Every day was different and memorable. Sometimes there had to be changes to the itinerary due to factors beyond control such as a roadblock due to a landslide or flight cancellation but contingencies were in place when needed. The itinerary was well planned and I cannot rate the vacation highly enough.Holiday Reviews
