1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Reaching the lakeside at Torre del Paine after the trek through the valley; exhausted but exhilarating. The small group bred a cameraderie that added to the wealth of experiences.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Build up your stamina. There is not much downtime in the two weeks.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Local guides were used throughout.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
It was very memorable. The hotels were a level below what we might have chosen for ourselves but we could never haver reached such locations or enjoyed ourselves so much if not for the group experience.Paul Thibor review 7 Apr 2014
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Entering Paraguay from Brazil after having visited Iguazu some days before seems not the best move to visit a country, the Jesuit Mission Ruins however have been a formidable discovery in both Paraguay and Argentine and the Parana River is more important by size at Bella Vista, when one is nearing Encarnacion, than at Iguazu. But all single day, of the 10 day Tour in Paraguay spent with the driver of the local agency, offered something exciting and unexpected.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Paraguay is not one of the most visited countries for tourism, therefore, my tip is clearly 1-to contact a fiable tour agency, 2-to discuss the itinerary you have in mind with them, 3-to invest enough time for the tour itinerary and if possible, 4- to go on a private - car with driver - tour with them, and if necessary, requesting an english speaking guide.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, indeed a vacation on a private car with driver basis benefits more local people than big groups traveling in huge busses, people who have less time to spend and therefore move full speed, without all those interesting stops for sightseeing, cultural as well as daily life, contact with people, for photos or refreshments. I have the feeling that people traveling on a private basis are best prepared for the tour itinerary and take better care as for the environment4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
I am unfortunately not reborn, however the Paraguay Tour has been one of the most interesting in years. At the beginning it was not so easy to find an appropriate local agency, finally I am very happy with the choice and I can only recommend responsibletravel.com to my family, friends and all other people who are eager to visit Paraguay, the Tour has been a full success from Asuncion to Encarnacion and the visit of the Jesuit Missions a special highlight.Holiday Reviews
