CARBON REDUCTION
On this specially created itinerary, we make a concerted effort to reduce internal flights within the itinerary. We also spend longer in each region to discover as much as we can, whilst limiting our transportation.

WILDLIFE AND ENVIRONMENT
Throughout this itinerary, we travel through and visit various National Parks and Reserves, where we pay a fee to visit. These fees in turn contribute to the conservation of these natural areas and their wildlife.
Each one of the hotels and lodges included in this itinerary have been carefully selected, and they operate with great respect to their environment. They reach the necessary environmental criteria, including energy and water conservation, locally-sourced food and providing information to guests about green issues.
Created by the Costa Rican Tourist Board and recognised by the World Tourism Organisation, the CST is the seal of approval for destinations meeting the criteria for promoting positive impact on environment, culture and society. As part of the CST program, our partners are active in using recycled and natural products, to use devices to make savings on energy and water, waste management and encourage a new market for environmentally and socially friendly products.

People

LOCAL ECONOMY
We have increased the amount of time in each area to allow travelers to discover the regions they are staying in with greater depth and increase opportunities for a positive impact on people and communities. Our partners in Costa Rica have been awarded CST at the highest level. They take pride in working in a mindful and conscientious manner and being active in the support of local communities.

EMPLOYMENT
Our partners also work with and employ local expert guides and drivers. These local guides and drivers are also encouraged to not only showcase the best of the destination but in addition to this, they receive ongoing training to help educate clients on the benefits of positive impact tourism. Therefore, as well providing an excellent service to clients they aim to help clients reduce their negative footprint locally, and promote a positive impact on the local environment and communities, with a view to enhancing the overall client experience.
