The itinerary prioritises authentic local economic engagement: guests enjoy home-hosted experiences with Tibetan farming families (including shared meals and optional participation in seasonal tasks like barley harvesting), visit community-run markets on Barkhor Street, and use exclusively Tibetan-speaking local guides licensed in Tibet. Entrance fees to cultural sites like Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Tashilhunpo Monastery, and Palcho Monastery also contribute directly to their preservation and staff salaries.
EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY
All guiding and driving staff employed on this tour are Tibetan residents of the regions visited, providing stable, year-round employment and preserving cultural authenticity.
