Responsible tourism
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your vacation will help support conservation and local people.

We operate walking and cycling vacations away from the normal tourist tracks which helps prevent erosion due to overuse. Pedal and foot power are some of the least impactful ways to explore a country, when designed in the right way. All our cycling trips take place on back roads for example.
Our trips are designed to respect the local flora and fauna. Our trails are carefully selected to bring you as close to the “wilderness” without actually encroaching on their land. We do not promote any experiences that involve physical interaction with animals.
Our guides are trained in a zero footprint philosophy. All waste that is generated is segregated during our trip and carried with us to the appropriate recycling and disposal centers. We minimise the use of plastic and have stopped using plastic water bottles. The vehicle will normally have a large container of water and guests are requested to refill their water bottles directly.
The Impacts of this Trip
The members of the local communities are involved in each and every activity of this tour. The walks, cycling stops, and accommodation also adds to the local economy in a big way both directly and indirectly. Vegetables and fruits used at these places are locally grown and the proceeds go directly into the hands of the farmer than some big corporation, thus making them stake holders in such a tour as this
Your accommodation is in renovated plantation bungalows that employ people from the vicinity. The employment these bungalows provide, help families diversify their income and stop being completely dependent on agriculture.
The treks are led by tribal trackers and members from the local community. Due to the slowdown of the traditional farming activities, they are almost dependent on Tourism for their living.
The treks in Knuckles leaves only a miniscule carbon footprint and presents itself as an alternative form of tourism as opposed to the mass tourism normally seen in such hill stations.
