Our tours visit important sites dedicated to the conservation of fragile nature threatened by human activities other than tourism. We do our best to reduce impacts on nature tour operations. Transportation to navigate Lake Titicaca is shared with other agencies and independent tourists who arrive to spend the night on the Isla del Sol. The visit to this island is entirely on foot, making possible our clients could enjoy the splendid Andean rural landscape and the living culture that still inhabits this beautiful island, one of the most inspiring destinations in Bolivia.

In the Sajama National Park, Lauca National Park and Salar de Uyuni, vehicles are used for 4 to 5 people to reduce physical presence in this remote locations, also offer several walks on foot to minimize any further impact, therefore we collaborate with the conservation of the landscape of these spectacular sites, where it is still possible to observe wild troops of vicuñas and other associated fauna of the Puna and Altiplano that could be easily seen and photographed.

Environment and wildlife

We support conservation efforts in important protected natural areas in the high Andes like Sajama National Park in Bolivia and Lauca National Park in Chile.

Locations such as Lake Titicaca, Sajama National Park, Lauca National Park and Salar de Uyuni protect threatened, endemic or rare species that are at high risk of extinction and our tours take all precautions to avoid any impact with wildlife. One fundamental concept of our tourism services is that visitors observe wildlife in its element, this being the best value of the tourist product offered to the visitor, which results in a true genuine experience that explores pristine nature. We also do not have activities that generate visual or auditory pollution in cultural, monumental and archaeological sites that also can be found in these destinations during our photography tours.

Our hostels in remote locations use solar panels to pump water, generate electricity, use natural gas for kitchen and hot showers. Solid waste is collected and subsequently removed from Titicaca, Sajama, Lauca and Salar de Uyuni to be disposed of in collection centers in large cities.

Local economy

Our alliance is with members of indigenous communities, as well as with other inhabitants of the destinations we visit. Our tours generate economic income that benefits several communities such Isla del Sol, Tomarapi and other populations found on the route of Sajama, Lauca and Uyuni, whose most important and sustainable economy is tourism.

Revenues generated by the right of entry to tourists in nature protected areas are used to finance the management of these areas dedicated to conservation.

Employment, inclusivity and diversity

Our guides and drivers are natives or also inhabitants who live in the destinations we visit. We support inclusion and diversity as one of our business commitments to become genuine responsible actors who promote sustainable tourism in all destinations we visit.

The female workforce is important in our operations. We are also committed to promoting this, due to the impact it has on the development of several communities that depend on tourism and where there are no possibilities to employ women and young people from the rural world who inhabit such iconic landscapes of South America.
