Torrox is a lovely village which really gives you the sense of being in 'real' Spain. Being taken to various locations, offered photography tuition and advice in a relaxed atmosphere is a fantastic way to spend a week - a great balance of focussing on a hobby while also being looked after on vacation. The food. Charlotte is amazing! And by the way, the photography instruction and discussion was good too, Niall! One day I was last to arrive at the car. Someone made some slightly negative remark, to which Niall smiled at me, shook his head slightly at the remark and said, "We feed them into submission." Visiting the glacial lagoons and ice beach in South Iceland. The Lake at Myvatn - utterly serene and beautiful

Be prepared for all weather conditions; be ready for some long journeys between some stopovers. Also toilets can be hard to find once off the beaten track.

The breath taking scenery with superb weather.
Tips?
Don't expect to see the 'millions' of birds described in the brochure. The kittiwake and gannet colonies were impressive but bird life seemed sparse elsewhere. Some keen bird watcher members of the group commented on this, but it was less of an issue for me as seeing the landscape was more important.

If you like mountains, beautiful mountain scenery and photographing this is a trip to take. The Dolomite area caters to hikers, campers, bikers (motor and pedal) with a multitude of accommodations. There are many scenic spots right on the road and more trails to even more scenery.
Tips?

There were many memorable parts to this vacation. I would say the road trip to Seim Reap was filled with several cool stops along the way. The remote, not so known temples in Angkor were really nice. Difficult to choose.. but Sunrise looking over the ruins of Bagan watching many hot air balloons appear over the horizon was probably the most memorable. There are many.......the pain of my feet defrosting after several hours in -35 deg and inappropriate footwear....... the incredible beauty of the icebergs in the
Illulisaat Iceford.......the angst of the old dog, chained and half wild at the prospect of being taken along with the dog pack to run......the smiley, old Inuit couple who cooked and cleaned for us in Oqaatsut.

Oh that is a difficult one. I guess it was the Reindeer selection ring, where the herders catch their reindeer for market. The melee was amazing and no one was hurt, but a fantastic experience. Then there is the photographing of a moose that was 5 meters away. Being able to enter the Sami Parliament.
Tips?
Take good thermal underwear, whatever quality your clothing it will not be warm enough.

22 Polar bears! And sadly this was a year when the sea ice melted early so I was afraid we wouldn't see any. Also foxes, walruses and reindeer, all seemingly unconcerned with humans so we were quite close.
Spectacular scenery - glaciers, icebergs, tundra - lovely ship with a great crew and food better than I expected. Also, most importantly, the guides couldn't have been better.
Tips?
Be prepared for ever changing weather conditions.
