It is very important that we promote properties that have a positive impact on their surroundings and give back to the local community by supporting local small businesses and employing from the local area. Where possible we support locally owned and/or managed hotels and lodges, like Xandari, which employs 44 of its 56 staff from local villages and make regular donations to the Asociación Pro Ayuda al Niño y Adolescente en la Salud ("Assocation for Child and Adolescent Health") which helps provide medical attention to children and adolescents from lower income families. We vet our suppliers in every destination we work with to ensure that your experience will be both culturally enriching and beneficial for the local communities.

EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY
All the guides referred to in this itinerary are employed locally and offer incredible knowledge about the history and communities of Costa Rica. We believe it is essential to have local guides as this provides a more authentic and cultural experience for travelers.
