Our well trained guides are also very aware about the fragility of the environment and rubbish management. They always explain about the fragility of the environment and rubbish management to the trekkers and advise them to dump their rubbish in proper places and take the non recyclable rubbish with them. Our company donates some reasonable funds to the different NGO/ local communities who are working in the environmental sector locally. Those NGO/ local communities help to maintain the trekking trail and running different kinds of environmental awareness programmes within the local community. These programmes have helped to reduce exploitation of the local fragile ecosystem and to maintain greenery in the surrounding area.

Our tour guides are also aware about Responsible Tourism and minimise the impact on nature for example: Trash things in rubbish pit, purify drinking water, do not pick up plan on the way, litter removal, use kerosene fuel for cooking rather than fire-wood, use local hotels & guest houses.

People

We are very aware about the environment and using local resources. Using of local resources help to generate employment. We always use the local people for different kinds of work. These kinds of work help local people to earn their living with a good income. Tourism enhances the living standard of people from the area and the whole nation and reduces poverty. Using of locally available vegetables, other foodstuffs and different kind of souvenirs also help people to be self employed. For example, due to tourism the annual income of people from Khumbu region and other touristy areas has always been higher than the normal people of Nepal.


- By purchasing local products such as fresh fruits, handloom products, meat, drinks and fresh vegetables and providing job opportunities. Staying in local trekking lodges/ Tea houses that are operated by local communities. Minimise impact on the environment, such as use of kerosene/gas fuel instead of fire wood, manage litter at proper section etc.


- Support to local school and health post. For example, to donate some amount and educational materials to kids as per seen the condition of school and students. Support to local health post by giving medical materials.


- We use local men-power in the trip such as local tour/ trekking guides and hire local transport. This provides great opportunity for the local inhabitants to enhance their career & develop the community.


- We always encourage local people to preserve their local culture and tradition by providing donations and other technical assistance when available for the continuation of their culture and indigenous knowledge. Thus, people can enjoy the differences within the community for the long term.
