Planet

It is recommended to start from Esna to maximise the sailing experience. It’s important to mention that “Princess Kayley” was built to sail, and will do so at every opportunity. The tranquillity is part of absorbing the life along the Nile and enables perfect relaxation. The tug boat goes in front and available when needed. It’s the best part of the trip. No noise from engines and so not disturbing birds and wildlife around
Larger dahabeahs may have sails but they are for decoration only and rely 100% on the accompanying tug boat to move up and down the Nile. They are too heavy to sail properly. This is important when you are doing comparisons with other dahabeah or big motor cruise boats.
If you do the trip from Aswan you are going against the wind and rely 100% on the tug boat to move up the Nile. That is why we start the cruise at Esna.

People

All the crew members and guides are natives and some of them are Nubian . All products and equipments are bought locally and prepared by the chef.
Your trip includes all meals and guiding, as well as entrance fees for temples and ancient sites that contribute so much towards their preservation. At every stop, your friendly and knowledgeable crew aims to visit outside of the busiest hours, reducing the strain on the site and ensuring you have a more enjoyable tour. Another highlight is definitely the delicious Egyptian meals which an onboard cook prepares freshly for you - grilled meats and fishes, soups, legumes and fruits all feature.
You're traveling with a company dedicated to respecting Egypt's environment and its people, so you can be sure that your crew will receive a fair income.
During the stops on islands or on the river banks ,the guests will have the opportunity to sea and meet local farmers . The very best way to have a clear insight of the egyptian people.
