Travel guides
As practical as it is romantic, a river cruise is for many travelers the finest way to explore.
A river cruise is a relaxing, immersive way to travel.
Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your vacation to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts.
Planet
CARBON REDUCTIONOur dahaIeya operates primarily using wind power (sailing), reducing fuel consumption by approximately 60–70% compared to large motorized cruise ships.
Most excursions are conducted on foot or involve short-distance visits, minimizing the need for vehicles.
We prioritize locally sourced food and supplies to reduce transport-related emissions.
We also offer daily vegetarian options and carefully manage food portions to reduce waste onboard.
ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE
We actively work on reducing single-use plastics onboard as much as possible.
Our trips operate with small group sizes (approximately 25 guests), helping to minimize environmental impact on visited sites.
Guests are briefed before each visit on how to respect natural and cultural heritage.
We also aim to work with environmentally responsible local partners whenever possible.
People
LOCAL ECONOMYWe source food, services, and supplies from local businesses to directly support the local economy.

EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSVITY AND DIVERSITY

We are committed to fair working conditions and supporting long-term employment for local youth.
