1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

Learning about the Channel Islands history, some wonderful sites. Friendly and clean.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Research the Channel islands and make sure everything you want to see is in the itinerary.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes. We found the Channel islands very environmentally conscience.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Rachel Dovey was excellent and group size of just 5 was good. Quite expensive for 6 nights we thought. Said lunch was included on Herm but it was not. Elizabeth Castle and Neolithic mound should be included. Would also be good to include some lunches. Even the coffee stop on landing in Jersey we had to pay. Grand Jersey hotel v good but we heard you are changing. Wednesday 20th May felt rushed, 21st and 22nd we had plenty of time. Could be better balanced. Seemed unnecessary to have a 2nd guide in Jersey.

Responsible Travel

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your vacation to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts.

Planet

Choosing to leave the car behind while on vacation provides the advantage of exploring a diverse array of public transportation options. Taking the time to peruse bus, boat, and train schedules allows us to fill any gaps in our itinerary with quick taxi rides to reach more secluded destinations. By not relying on a car, we can have a unique experience, especially on an island. Walking or cycling provides an opportunity to better connect with the surroundings and appreciate the area at a more relaxed pace.

In Guernsey, a knowledgeable local guide is available to lead tours of the island, taking visitors off the beaten path to discover hidden gems. On Sark, visitors can enjoy more environmentally friendly modes of transport such as a tractor bus or walking, since there is no motorised transportation available.

Our relationships with our business partners are built on mutual trust and a joint commitment to ensuring excellent customer satisfaction and promoting environmentally responsible practices. We believe in nurturing long-term relationships with our partners to ensure that our clients receive the best possible experience while prioritising the well-being of the environment.

People

Our commitment to genuine sustainability entails promoting and preserving local ways of life that derive benefits from tourism. To achieve this goal, we prioritize collaboration with local, family-owned businesses rather than large corporate entities, for example your guide on Jersey's La Rocque beach is a local who will give you the opportunity to sample local Oysters.

Our tour prioritises sustainable modes of transportation, utilizing group coaches and ferries for the majority of the journey. We aim to limit the use of flights and taxis wherever possible, although being an island destination may require occasional use of these modes of transport. Nonetheless, we are committed to minimizing our carbon footprint while providing an exceptional travel experience. On this tour for example you will visit the island of Sark, which only has a tractor bus, bike and walking as your means of transportation.

In addition to promoting sustainability within our Glasgow office, we also strive to collaborate with business partners who share our commitment to environmentally responsible practices. This ensures that our clients receive a sustainable and eco-friendly travel experience while supporting local businesses that prioritize environmental conservation.
