Travel guides
Our guide explores this country where, as the tourist board once claimed, 'the only risk is wanting to stay'.
Find out whether this kind of trip is right for you, what we love and what's overrated.
Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your vacation to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts.

CARBON REDUCTIONFor this tour, there are no domestic flights. You will be transferring from Santa Marta to the starting point of your hike by a 4x4 vehicle. Most days of your hike consist of about 7 to 8 kilometers trekking through challenging trails.
ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE
Our guides will diligently explain all the rules to the travelers. Please reduce your plastic waste and ensure proper disposal. It is essential to carry all trash back to Santa Marta since the park does not have a garbage collection service, so this is of utmost importance. Please also take care of and show respect for everything you come across, refraining from causing any harm to the natural or cultural treasures.
The Archaeological Park Teyuna is managed by the Colombian Institute of Anthropology and History (ICANH), an institution affiliated with the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Colombia. The entrance fee to support the Archaeological Park is included in the tour.

LOCAL ECONOMYWe work hand in hand with indigenous and rural communities. We are committed to supporting the development of the region through contributions that help improve the quality of life for the locals.
During the Lost City Trek, we will spend the night in rustic accommodations arranged along the route, provided by locals who will offer us a comfortable and secure mountain stay with hammocks or bunk beds protected from the elements, equipped with blankets and mosquito nets.
EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY
The majority of our staff, including guides, are local individuals from the country who can provide insights into the culture.
We have local guides trained by SENA with years of experience. They are qualified to provide cultural, historical, and anthropological information about the indigenous communities and the area.
We also ensure that our staff receive at least the minimum wage and are covered by employment insurance.
We are dedicated to creating a friendly and inclusive atmosphere for customers, employees, destination communities, and local operators. This includes implementing a strict zero-tolerance policy for any form of racial, ethnic, religious, or gender-based discrimination in all their activities or operations.
