CARBON REDUCTION

This is a low-impact journey by design. Kosovo is compact, which allows us to travel efficiently by road without the need for internal flights, significantly reducing the overall carbon footprint. Distances are short, routes are intentional, and unnecessary mileage is cut out.

Once in each destination, we prioritise walking through Pristina, Prizren, and local neighbourhoods to keep transport use to a minimum while allowing for a more human, connected experience. Small group sizes (maximum 15 travelers) further reduce emissions per person and allow us to move flexibly without relying on large-scale transport.

We prioritise experiencing a place without adding pressure. Travelers are also encouraged to reduce waste, pack consciously, and take responsibility for their footprint throughout the trip.

ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE

Kosovo’s landscapes are often overlooked, but that’s exactly why they matter. From the Rugova Canyon to rivers, waterfalls, and rural valleys, this journey engages with nature in a way that keeps impact low and awareness high.

We operate with a simple principle: take up less space. Small groups, no unnecessary infrastructure, and a consistent ‘leave no trace’ approach across natural sites. Whether visiting waterfalls, caves, or mountain regions, we respect local ecosystems by sticking to paths, avoiding waste, and not disrupting the environment.

Our Kosovar guide will provide context, not just what you’re seeing, but how these landscapes connect to livelihoods, history, and identity through the eyes of women. This is responsible travel, done consistently.

LOCAL ECONOMY

This tour is built to directly support local communities, especially women-led initiatives. We work exclusively with Kosovar guides, drivers, accommodations, and locally owned businesses throughout the journey.

A key part of the itinerary includes visiting Krusha e Madhe, a female-led cooperative supporting war widows through agriculture and food production. Your visit will contribute directly to livelihoods and ongoing community work.

From local restaurants to small businesses and artisan spaces, your spending stays within the communities you visit.

EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY

This is a women-led perspective on Kosovo. The experience is shaped by a Kosovar guide with a background in gender studies and direct involvement in civil society, offering insight into how women are shaping the country’s future.

Throughout the journey, you’ll meet women leading change, from entrepreneurs and activists to community members navigating the realities of post-war Kosovo. This tour is centerd on conversations, grounded in lived experience.

You’ll also engage with stories of conflict, resilience, and rebuilding, often directly from those who have lived through it. This requires respect, awareness, and a willingness to listen in a space that prioritises dignity and truth. This tour does not ‘give anyone a voice.’ People already have one. This is about creating space for them to share their stories and experiences on their terms.
