1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Sorry but the whole vacation was memorable; the camps, transfers, food and wildlife. In general the safaris were superb.
2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Keep an eye on transfers by plane and try to keep them to a minimum. Go to Malawi before Zambia.
3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
The camps employed local staff environmental concerns were good.
4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
A total success. The only mammal missing (and not expected) was the Pangolin.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Without doubt the visit to the game reserve at South Luangwa Park in Zambia, but the whole experience over the two weeks was fantastic - relaxing, exciting, enjoyable, and very different.
2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
If you go to Malawi, take a Visa card - not Mastercard (as recommended by our bank!)
3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
I would think there had been some benefit to local people, and that the presence of overseas tourists will go some way towards supporting conservation projects in the area.
4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
In all respects it exceeded our expectations - I cannot imagine a better vacation.

Planet and people
Livingstone - The Mosi Oa Tunya National Park is the smallest in Zambia but there is a good concentration of game, including a conservation project for some of Zambia's last remaining black rhino.South Luangwa - Many of the lodges have instigated tree planting and solar power systems. Several lodges have recently been declared carbon neutral. In addition, each of the operators conduct extensive work in wildlife conservation and anti-poaching schemes.
Lake Malawi - On the southern lakeshore, where many excellent lodges are based, Cape Maclear has been made a national park to protect all aquatic life in the area.
