Trekking through the Holumba mountain region was beautiful and an experience never to forget. We stayed in authentic places and ate lunch in local places, to an extent I've never known on another tour. I valued it so much. Read full review

The highlight was just being away in the mountains and trekking around with my guide and porter in a completely natural way and mode. Read full review

Responsible Travel

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your vacation to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts.

Planet

In this world, no one can be far away from the Environment elements. In the creation time of universal, God has also gifted a beautiful environment to us, But in the name of making our lives comfort and development, we are making unhealthy and ugly it. As human beings, it comes more responsibility to protect and preservation of the environment.

We are equally aware of the environmental issue in all our trips and trying to minimize the impacted things and harmful activities on nature. Our guide will give a briefing about Responsible Tourism and how to best minimize the impact on nature, for example: Dispose of all waste in a rubbish pit, purify drinking water, proper litter removal, using kerosene fuel for cooking rather than fire-wood, use of local tea houses/ local camping sites.

Provide information on how to preserve the environment, for examples: Do not litter everywhere, dispose of rubbish in proper places like rubbish boxes, establish fire pits in camping treks/tours, if possible provide food wastage to domestic animals. Pay a small extra amount to Porters to bring back non disposable things by duffel. Avoid bathing or washing clothes in streams, etc.

on this tour we stay with local tea houses/ lodges, operated by local communities in the hilly regions which minimize impact on the environment by using kerosene/gas fuel instead of fire wood, and managing garbage properly.

People

Tourism helps to generate income for the local community. For example: By purchasing local products such as fresh fruits, handloom products, meat, drinks, and fresh vegetables and providing job opportunities etc.

You will be staying with local tea houses/lodges operated by local communities in the hilly region which, minimize impact on the environment such as use kerosene/gas fuel instead of fire wood, manage garbage at proper section etc.

We support local schools and health posts, for example: donating funds and educational materials to kids, in relation to the condition of schools and students. Support to local health posts is given through donating medical materials.

We give support to Kvresthali Women society by providing a certain percentage of the amount of our income from this trip, to repair culvert bridge and for Goat farming, as well adult literacy for women.

We use well-trained and experienced local guides for this trip. We hire local porters with equipped clothes as per the types of trekking. Loads carried will be limited to 20-25 kg. All field staffs will be traveling insured.
