Responsible tourism
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your vacation will help support conservation and local people.

The Impacts of this Trip
Our community support efforts come in various forms. We create contractual jobs for the local people by the tour guides we engage on this trip. All the tour guides are from the communities who have in-depth knowledge of the local communities and their cultures. We help sustain the local economy by the entrance fees we pay to the site managers. These fees are their source of income which also keeps them on their job. We do rent vehicles from our local transport suppliers who hails from the local area to pick our clients from Accra and drive them during the entire trip . The payment of the vehicle rental to local transporter ensures that income is maintained at the local community we send the travelers
We encourage code of dressing just to avoid cultural corruption.
All our accommodations on this trip are locally owned and run. We engage the local people in business by patronizing their local eco lodges/ accommodation facilities which give earns them a living. Although we allow our clients the choice to some continental dishes, most of the meals on the trip are delicious locally prepared food. By interacting with the local people, we encourage relationships building thereby enabling the travelers to have ever lasting memories about the trip.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
The beautiful beaches.
2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Walk where you can especially in the villages.
3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes but what a lot there is to do! Beautiful hardwood forests with rare primates but no means to limit illegal logging and smuggling & pristine beaches being destroyed by oil activites.
4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Ghana, particularly the west coast, is a fascinating location. Quality of food was high, guide excellent, environment varied and weather sunny.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
We loved all of it but highlights would include seeing how different life in Ghana is from ours; chatting to the people, especially the children; trekking along the beautiful coastline; watching the baby turtles make their way to the sea; seeing the beautiful old ruins of the former days; and seeing the cocoa farms...
It gave us a great insight into life in Ghana.
2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Allow more time for travel around than you would think!
3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Our vacation definitely benefitted local people. Not so sure about the other two...
4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
We thoroughly enjoyed it - it was a fantastic experience. We did find it quite expensive in parts though, e.g. car hire.
