During trekking activities, fresh produce is sources from local villages where appropriate and preference is given to local products rather than imported goods. Andean ingredients are incorporated into the cooking.Waste is managed by using products with minimal packaging, carrying all non-organic waste out of trekking areas, and avoiding litter. Water sources are kept clean, and campsites are left clean after use. Organic waste is buried at an appropriate depth.
People
Visitors will have the chance to learn about Ecuador, local culture and the communities encountered during the trips. Guides hold informal talks and discussions about aspects of local life, helping visitors develop an understanding of the areas visited and the people who live there.We continue to donate to a community project in Pifo.
