Responsible tourism
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your vacation will help support conservation and local people.

Giving something back: We have a foundation that collects the funds that you donate to us to support our projects. All our customers are invited to make a £1 per person contribution to the foundation at the time of booking. We will match every contribution that you make with our own £1. You as a customer choose where these funds are used from a shortlist of nominated projects – so it really is YOUR foundation.
Partnerships: As a company we support The Travel Foundation, a UK charity that has been established to promote responsible travel practises throughout the whole of the travel industry. We also work with a number of charity partners who work in the destinations that we visit; including Friends of Conservation and Born Free Foundation.
The Impacts of this Trip
On this trip: This trip provides income for a variety of local business, from our ground agents to the small, independent hotel where the group are based. The variety of activities on this trip are all operated by local companies so the money spent by our groups directly benefits the local economy of Soldeu and provides vital employment. All activities are devised to cause minimum environmental impact on the region being explored.
Responsible code: Being Responsible is at the heart of everything our company does - full details of our code can be found on our website. The local supplier for this trip will promote our responsible travel code throughout your adventure. You will also receive specific information on this trip’s responsibility in your trip notes.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
The White Water Rafting and Zip Lining.
2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Make sure you are fit, the walks are pretty tough, uphill on the lungs, downhill on the knees! Come prepared to challenge your boundaries, i.e being on a zip
wire if you are uncomfortable with heights and getting very wet and possibly land up in the water on the rafting!! All was safely done and no-one was made to do anything that they were uncomfortable with.
3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Well it did help with employment, but long transfers into Spain to do the rafting. However, all of our activities were environmentally sound.
4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
The vacation was good value for money. However, as you are unable to obtain lunch on any day other than your free down it would be helpful to pay for this in
the price of the vacation, rather than ordering at the hotel and paying for it separately. The activities were varied and well planned through the week so you
never did the same activities two days running, which gave a change for certain muscles to recover.

The amazing adventure activities and the people, the staff and other guests
were all really great fun.
2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
You need to be flexible and confident mountain walking, mountain biking
and happy to push your boundaries!
3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Generally, yes, used local bars, restaurants, shops, activities. Best to bring a resizable water bottle and something to put your lunch in. Guest house should reduce plastic use lots of unnecessary cling film used, plastic water bottles, plastic bags, individual tea bags sealed in plastic, disposable plastic table cloths. Overall though a great week wa had by all.
4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Absolutely stunning, exciting and inspiring.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Cycling on Tour de France route.
2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Go with the flow! Do everything but at a level you feel comfortable with -variations galore to meet individual needs. Bring walking boots not shoes unless you are happy to have wet feet all day!
3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Family run guest house, local guides and activities. Quite a bit of driving in private vehicle unavoidable due to activities but used effectively. Minor negative: Guest house could reduce plastic use - individual tea bags sealed in plastic, disposable plastic table cloths. Could have a recycling bin in communal area.
4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Amazing!
