Responsible tourism
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your vacation will help support conservation and local people.

Nearly all of our activities have the concept of Eco tourism and mostly all of our activities are deemed as not harmful to the environment. Indeed the Durmitor National Park is a UNESCO protected national park and considered an 'Air' spa for visitors.
We provide all our guests with a friendly welcome BBQ meal and drink on arrival of stay. We also provide packed lunches and we buy all our produce directly from the market place, from local farmers in the area, such as locally produced jams, preserves, fruit berries, meats and cheeses. We also have a cultural day out where our guests shall have a traditional Montenegrin meal which again has all foods and drinks that are locally produced such as meats, wines and plum brandy, etc.
Our camp is surrounded by green fields, mountains and forests and we shall be discarding wherever possible all rubbish for recycling. We shall also have our outdoor lights run on solar energy and energy saving bulbs. We also offer our guests free usage of mountain bikes which we shall encourage our guests to use, so they can travel around the area by Eco transport.
Our team leaders are all local to the area and we hope to show our guests the benefits of protecting our environment on our activities. Our Hiking team leaders are also part of the conservation of the Durmitor forest and they will be explaining all aspects of nature to our guests on activities.
The Impacts of this Trip
We directly aim to create jobs and employ and empower local people in that region, which are heavily dependent on incomes from tourism in this region. Locals in the Durmitor region generally live from tourism or farming and so it's a massive chunk of their income to be involved within the sector of tourism.
We employ 6 team leaders and also have a staff for the day to day running of our camp. We are hoping that we shall be able to make a difference in the community by employing locals and they shall have a direct benefit of being employed and gaining an income from our weekly package stays.
We shall encourage all of our staying guests to explore Durmitor for themselves on free days and evening times, and hope they'll visit local restaurants, cafes and eateries in the town of Zabljak which will economically help other local business's.
This is our first season in 2016 and we shall hopefully be a success this year and we shall endeavor to include as much possible for local people to be employed and for income to be spent back into the camp and to stay with the community.

We enjoyed every part of our experience! The location and setting is just beautiful, very quiet and relaxing. Read full reviewReviewed on 11 Aug 2019 by Anthony Mcleod
There were four of us and we all enjoyed the variety of activities provided. The rafting may have been the favourite, although the scenery we saw through the trekking, cycling and jeep safari was amazing. We added a day of quad biking at the end of our week and all loved that too, the lakes we visited on this trip were beautiful. Read full reviewReviewed on 06 Aug 2019 by Vivienne Thompson
The most memorable part of the vacation was going on the Via Ferrata even though we had not planned to go - it was a fantastic experience for all of us. The food cooked by Goca at the house was amazing. The views of the mountains in every direction. Read full reviewReviewed on 03 Jul 2019 by Kaoutar Sellam

Thoroughly enjoyed this vacation. Stan was an excellent host, took all the organising responsibility and also accommodated any request (drive to town, collect from dinner, packed lunches, welcome dinners and deserts etc) and the activities were a great way to explore the beaufitul scenery rather than looking at it for 10 minutes on a coach tour stop Read full reviewReviewed on 09 Sep 2018 by Becky Thomas
Superb - we would definitely recommend it (and have done so already to our friends). Perfect for people who want a more active vacation, without going too extreme so that you aren't exhausted by the time you come home! Read full reviewReviewed on 05 Jun 2018 by Karina Heavey
Amazing! The best part of our vacation was our host Stan and his lovely wife Gordana (probably spelled that wrong!). They picked us up from the airport, organised our tours, answered all our questions and generally took all the stress and hassle of the vacation away. The jeep safari is a fantastic way of seeing the (durmitor) National Park...At the end of a day of challenging activities it was lovely to return back to camp and have home made cakes made kindly by Stans wife, this was not part of the trip but a very much appreciated added extra. This was 5 days of heaven that seemed like 2 weeks. Expect aching legs from walking and a sore bum from cycling, but it is worth it. Read full reviewReviewed on 25 Aug 2017 by Samantha Wilson
