CARBON REDUCTION
In Jokulsarlon we stay in the stylish Fosshotel, a haven that not only offers breathtaking views of the Icelandic landscape but also champions sustainability. The hotel is powered entirely by renewable energy, and has a waste reduction programme that further reduced the envirnomental impact of their guests.
Immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of Iceland on foot wherever possible. This allows our groups to not only experience both the towns and natural environments from insider's perspective, but also means reduces the carbon footprint of our groups.
This trip is carbon labelled to give our travelers visibility over the impact of their chosen vacation. Our business has a seven-point commitment plan that supports our Climate Emergency declaration, and we are the first global tour operator with verifiable science-based targets through the Science Based Targets initiative.
We encourage our travelers to read our ‘Ten steps to reducing your carbon footprint’ prior to travel, and the tour leader will provide more location-specific guidance at the welcome meeting. Vegan and vegetarian options are available throughout on this trip, to accommodate our travelers who opt for a plant-based diet.
ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE
The experienced local leader will explain geographic features and share stories of Iceland’s history and folklore. They will also share information on how to minimise our impact as we travel through Iceland's incredible landscapes, ensuring we travel respectfully.
Choosing this journey means you're making a difference. With every trip, support is extended to our foundation partner, Eden Reforestation Projects. Your contributions help them provide local employment opportunities and restore forests across 10 different countries.

LOCAL ECONOMY
Savour the authentic flavours of Iceland with a home-cooked dinner on a local farm, a genuine experience that supports the local economy. Additionally, our foundation partner, Eden Reforestation Projects, benefits directly from this trip. Their initiatives not only combat climate change but also create local employment opportunities.
Engage with local experts, from city guides in Reykjavik to welcoming hosts in the quaint fishing village of Arnarstapi and the horse farm of Lysuholl. Each interaction is a step towards supporting the local community.
EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY
Our commitment goes beyond just travel. Since 2018 we have been a certified B Corporation. B Corps that look after their staff, work toward a more inclusive supply chain, and take corporate social responsibility to the next level. For us, becoming a B Corp meant taking all the work we’ve already done – through our Foundation and our core operation – to the next level and conducting an extensive audit to ensure we meet the highest responsible business standards.
Local leaders and experts are an integral part of our journeys, and all local leaders and guides on this trip will be local to the area.
