On this Canadian adventure, you’ll stay in small-scale accommodation that sits comfortably within its natural surroundings, from city lodges in Vancouver to waterfront inns on Vancouver Island and rustic stays near coastal forests. These places are chosen for their low-impact approach and strong connection to the landscapes around them. Traveling through regions such as the Pacific Northwest coast, the forests of Campbell River and the Sunshine Coast means spending time in some of Canada’s most spectacular and sensitive wilderness environments, so we prioritise places and experiences that respect these incredible natural areas.
Before your trip, we provide clear guidance on how to travel responsibly in Canada. This includes practical advice on leaving no trace, staying on marked trails in national parks, and understanding how to observe wildlife without disturbing natural behaviour. The goal is to help you explore forests, lakes, waterfalls and mountain scenery in a way that protects these ecosystems for the future.
Getting around is planned with the environment in mind. While distances in Western Canada mean some journeys are by private vehicle, we build in longer stays so you can explore each region more deeply rather than rushing between stops. Many experiences are naturally low impact, such as walking trails to waterfalls, canoeing on clear mountain lakes or exploring on foot in alpine towns, allowing you to move gently through these landscapes and reduce your footprint.
Back in the UK, we aim to practise what we stand for. Our Brighton-based team works from a B-Corp-certified office, operates largely paper-free and partners with Earthly to support nature-based projects that remove carbon, restore biodiversity and improve livelihoods. A small contribution is included in every itinerary, helping protect the natural landscapes that make travel through Canada so special.
