Description of Jordan photography tour
This trip can be tailor made throughout the year to suit your requirements
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
PlanetWhen you visit Petra, your entry ticket for the site is included in this tour. The Petra Authority works hard to conserve the site. And that is why conservation and restoration fees are included in the entry tickets. Conservation is done in several ways. One of them is handing out leaflets to the visitors to emphasise their help needed in conserving the site. By not touching or standing on the monuments. By not buying rocks, pottery etc as it encourages the locals to damage the site for an income.
We ask you to help conserve the treasures of Jordan by traveling in a responsible matter. By making sure to follow the rules and regulations of the sites you visit. And by not leaving any waste behind.
We also ask you kindly to minimise your water use, as Jordan has little water resources. We inform our guides and drivers about this important matter and ask them to keep an eye on our guests.
PeopleWhen you visit Jordan we encourage you to buy from local artists to help them support their families. This can be done from several outlets in Jordan who will be showed to you by your guide. It is important you do not buy from children who try to sell you souvenirs at sites. These children should be in school and get a proper education, by giving them money you are keeping them out of school.
We work with locals to help support them and their families. Throughout this tour you will be given workshops by a professional Jordanian photographer and driven around by a Jordanian driver. All people we work with will be given a fair wage for their help to give you a dream vacation. In return they will give you more then you would ever expect.
Our services provided to you will mainly be done by locals. This is how we make sure that local communities throughout Jordan will benefit from your travels.
