Responsible tourism
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your vacation will help support conservation and local people.

During your stay in Wadi Rum you will also be camping outdoors. Tents will be provided and after each night we make sure to clean up the campsites so that no waste is left behind.
The Impacts of this Trip
For your desert experience we only use local people. Most of the people who live in and around Wadi Rum are of Bedouin origin and used to led nomadic lives relying on their goat herds. And there are some people who still do that. We work with the people who live in Rum Village, the only village located inside the protected area. The services they organised (such as jeep, camel tours, horse ride, mountain climbing and hiking), are organised through the Rum Tourism Cooperative. Rum Tourism Cooperative is a locally run society that shares the tourism between the villagers. So everyone benefits in an equal way which stimulates and encourages the interaction with tourists. And it also prevents jealousy and other possible negative problems. So by visiting Wadi Rum you will not only help with conserving the protected area, you will also help the people living in and around Wadi Rum.
