The significant importance of developing tours that are sustainable and reduce the impacts of tourism on the environment are crucial and this itinerary has been developed in ways that respectfully acknowledge that goal. By electing to use bicycles as much as we can, we believe that this tour is as harmonious with the environment as it truly can be. We wish to foster a great respect for the natural surroundings in which we visit and travel, especially as we will be visiting a range of stunning natural environments that are home to a unique array of wildlife.

Activity: 
The first way to support the environment and lower our carbon footprint that we think is always the cycling. It is a special designed cycling tour in Qinghai where the famous “Qinghai International Cycling Race” will hold every summer. Tour by bike is not only a great way to experience local culture, but this means we use less vehicles, less oil and less carbon. 
Waster:
Our support vehicle and tour guide take garbage bags and distribute them to clients individually to collect the garbage produced within the cycling and touring to ensure that we leave no waste on this trip. We encourage clients to stick to bring all waste to next town on this cycling and disposed of appropriately in local garbage collection facilities. These include recycling as appropriate.

Water:
As we always manage to live a fairly normal plastic-free life and hope to promote it in every groups that we organized. During this cycling tour, we will supply water for the riders from a support van. And we highly suggest the riders carry with their own water bottle to refill the boiled water. It is different from other normal tours that buy plastic bottles that add to landfill.

People

Our itinerary has been designed to fully incorporate the local communities of the areas we visit in Qinghai. We value their unique insights, knowledge, and hospitality, and believe that they too should benefit from tourism too. Wherever possible, we use locally-owned guesthouses, hotels, restaurants, and services to ensure that local communities and business prosper in a highly competitive market. An added bonus of using locally-owned services and people is that they will often be highly enthusiastic, generous and proud to welcome you into the places where many have been born and raised – this is undoubtedly the case in a region like Qinghai.

Accommodations and Meals:
We choose economical hotels as opposed to bigger chains boosts the local economy. And we prefer to stay small, locally or family-run guesthouses when in small village. We choose the accommodations with responsible practices eg water saving initiatives, renewable energy sources, recycling etc.
We will have meals in rural villages, away from the standard tourist trail. We believe that we have made valuable economic contributions to local rural businesses, bringing them repeat business, and it is our aim to continue to do so.

Local supplier:
We carefully choose to use the suppliers that match our environmental values. We engage locally-owned and operated services thereby supporting local people and communities as well as minimizing use of long and carbon-intensive supply chains.

Local services with A fair wages:
We use all local guides and drivers so that we learn about the culture and way of life directly from those who live it and put money into local hands and economies. For this tour, we also rent the bikes locally and local repairers for the maintenance of the bikes as well.
All receive fair wages and are provided with training opportunities both direct from us and from the local tourism bureau. Our guides are also responsible for advising travelers of the appropriate recycling options available in each place. We conduct indoor training and on the spot training to equip our escorted services providing guides scenic spots information, necessary communication skills, proper knowledge of clients’ home countries culture and so on to make them qualified in their work. Our managers are ready all the time to support and help them to solve any problem them may encounter on the spot.

Group size:
This small group tour has a maximum of 16 participants. Small group means we are less intrusive to the places we visit, we keep the disturbance caused to nature and communities to the minimum.
