Responsible Travel

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.

Planet

All excursions and trekkings are privately guided by local guides with ecological and/or cultural knowledge. You are accompanied by the owner of the mountain lodge and/or as well as by local gauchos they have been working with for years, in case of horse riding. All organization and logistics are local and locally owned. Their commitment is to guide you in a safe way, that you can enjoy fully the beauty of a landscape, the walks, birdwatching and trekkings while nature is taken care of and that visitors are doing the same.

The excursions are private, so there is a maximum of attention and safety, also that there is no waste left in nature on the trekking and horseriding and that nature is being taken care of. The transfers are private, local transport is by a 4x4 pickup, hiking on foot and by horseriding. The lodge in the mountain uses water directly from the mountain and is directly drinkable. Using solar panels is not common in this area due to former high investment costs but as the economic restraints of the Government on importation are fading away we see that new projects in the mountains are arising using solar energy. These individual travels are designed and offered by a company of guides who live in Latin America. They have been guiding in Latin America for many years on mountain trekkings, specialised ecotravels and culture travels and have experienced all the aspects of being a responsible host in mother nature.

The Argentinean people who work in tourism are aware that it is important to take care of their beautiful natural environment, as it is one of the main attractions for tourists, and tourism is an important income. By making use of nature or cultural excursions during your travel through Argentina, you stimulate the people to continue to take care of their natural reserves & cultural heritage.
