Vacation information
Small group tour, ideal for solos & couples:
Small group travel is not large group travel scaled down. It is modelled on independent travel – but with the advantage of a group leader to take care of the itinerary, accommodation and tickets, and dealing with the language. It’s easy to tick off the big sights independently – but finding those one-off experiences, local festivals, traveling markets and secret viewpoints is almost impossible for someone without the insider knowledge gained from years in the field. Those with a two-week vacation, a small group tour will save valuable planning time.

Planet
This walking trip follows the well-defined Camino Frances (French Way), a pilgrimage route since the 9th century leading to the Cathedral at Santiago de Compostela. The group travel on foot point to point for eight days. Local taxis are used to transfer the luggage between the overnight stops and if any of the group wish to take a days rest from walking. Before commencing the walk the group are briefed on local environmental considerations, reminded to not litter and to keep to the designated path to minimise erosion of the countryside and disturbance to the vegetation along the sides.
As a travel company we are continually looking for ways to improve and are proud to be ‘Responsible in everything we do’. Education is key, and so all staff, Tour Leaders and partnering suppliers are trained in responsible and sustainable tourism. At our Head Office, we continually strive towards a sustainable and planet-friendly working environment, including having solar panels installed and a company commitment to reducing our plastic usage.
People
The Camino de Santiago is one of the most important and historical ways in Spain. We follow in the footsteps of Christian pilgrims who have walked this path for centuries, along the way discovering local traditions, meeting other pilgrims and learning about the historical significance of the route from both the leader and talking to the local people who live and work in the area. Each person is given a pilgrims passport to get stamped each day and will receive a compostela - certificate of completion of the pilgrimage. A great memento of the experience. We pass by and stay in medieval towns and villages including O Cebreiro with its cobbled streets and thatched houses. Staying in different locations brings money to these rural communities and spreads the economic benefits of our visit throughout this area of northern Spain from Leon to Santiago de Compostela.
