Our partnership with Little Garonga Camp ensures a safari experience that actively reduces carbon emissions. The camp operates entirely off-grid, powered by renewable solar energy, with energy-efficient systems like heat pumps and gas-powered geysers to minimise energy usage. Guests are invited to plant Spekbom Trees, which can sequester up to 10 tonnes of CO2 per hectare annually, directly contributing to carbon reduction. Innovative water conservation measures include greywater filtration, which treats and reuses water for a nearby waterhole, significantly reducing the use of fresh borehole water. Locally sourced, seasonal food is prioritised, with vegetarian and vegan options available, while reusable metal water bottles eliminate the need for single-use plastics.
