We choose small, locally run accommodation, such as the jungle lodge in Mindo, set in cloud forest rich in birdlife, with similar small lodges in the Amazon, Cotopaxi and the Galapagos. National park entry fees help fund the running of the parks. In the Galapagos, strict national park rules control where and how visitors can go, and your guides will make sure you follow them.
People
PeopleThe itinerary includes community-based tourism, so local people benefit directly. In the Sacred Valley, your visit to the Misminay community provides income that helps fund local education and health facilities and keeps cultural traditions alive.
We use locally owned hotels, boutique and independent wherever possible, so more of your money stays local rather than going to international chains. We work only with ground agents who put communities first.
