This nine-day Crete and Athens highlights tour is designed to minimize air travel. The transition from Athens to the island of Crete is by ferry boat and not by plane, eliminating the need for internal flights, thus reducing the tour's carbon footprint.

a. Eco-Friendly Accommodations:
We ensure that almost all accommodations on this tour adhere to strict environmental policies, including water conservation through rainwater harvesting and waste management.
b. Vegetarian and Vegan Options:
During the whole tour our guests have the choice to taste vegetarian and vegan food options from the rich Greek cuisine that is full of such healthy dishes. Crete is famous for its Mediterranean cuisine, which is mainly based on extra virgin olive oil, vegetables and fruits of its fertile land. Crete could be the model of nutrition worldwide and teach lessons in reducing the carbon footprint because of this particularity.
c. Local and Seasonal Food:
All suggested restaurants during the tour are specialized in seasonal and locally sourced food, cooking their recipes from raw materials from the local production of livestock breeders and farmers.
We also mostly work with local accommodations, whose owners have plans and policies on reducing or switching to certified palm oil, soy, and forestry products. Crete is famous on this part of life.
