CARBON REDUCTION

Every accommodation on this trip follows an environmentally friendly approach. They use renewable energy, primarily solar power, and take steps to minimize their carbon emission. Notably, one of the accommodations exemplifies this commitment, having become the first establishment in French Polynesia to receive the international Green Key (Clef Verte) certification in 2016.
Another accommodation on this trip is committed to the "We Care" CSR strategy, which is based on three key pillars: We Care for the Environment, We Care for Our Communities, and We Care for Our Colleagues. As part of their environmental commitment, the hotel has initiated a greenhouse gas assessment, with plans to join the carbon emissions reduction program in 2025. This initiative aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030 (excluding air transport).

This itinerary includes a full-day electric bike excursion. Participants pedal through archaeological marae, sacred blue-eyed eels, ancestral fish traps, panoramic viewpoints, and secret beaches—at a gentle pace that lets them connect with nature quietly.
Moreover, during the cruise, participants can enjoy human-powered activities such as kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding.

Most of the food and beverages offered during the tour are locally sourced and seasonal. The restaurants at our accommodations source their ingredients from local producers in order to offer fresh and authentic meals.

ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE

This itinerary includes an immersive participative science experience that has been fully co-created by our team and a local environmental association. Designed to deepen understanding and appreciation for fragile ecosystems, this experience allows travelers to learn about marine biology and actively participate in collecting data on coral health. A portion of the trip cost is donated directly to the association to support its environmental initiatives, including the development of educational programs.
It also includes an activity with a traditional double-hulled sailing canoe built in Moorea. During a fun and interactive half-day cruise, participants can hoist sails, steer the boat, and discover sandbanks, secret motus, submerged tiki statues, and hotspots for sharks and rays. Beyond welcoming travelers, this company is deeply involved with the local community. Once a month, the crew invites children from Moorea—especially those who have limited access to the lagoon—to come aboard and learn about traditional navigation, ocean currents, and marine ecosystems. This initiative offers a hands-on educational experience that reconnects young Polynesians with their maritime heritage and encourages deeper awareness of their natural environment.

We work hand-in-hand with local environmental NGOs and proudly support the Federation of Environmental Associations in Polynesia (FAPE). Together, we raise awareness about urgent environmental issues, including biodiversity loss, coral reef degradation, ocean conservation, and the importance of sustainable tourism. Each trip participates financially to support the FAPE.

We provide our own naturalist guides, all carefully selected from the local communities and trained by our team. Each guide is trained in hospitality, environmental awareness, and local culture. They also receive specific training for the tours we offer, ensuring they can deliver an enriching and responsible experience for our guests. We are currently in the process of obtaining official certification for these training programs.

LOCAL ECONOMY

All accommodations included on this trip are locally owned, ensuring an authentic experience and direct support to the local economy.

This itinerary offers an immersive cultural experience, allowing travelers to meet individuals often overlooked by the tourism sector. One such experience is the "Polynésie d'antan" immersion, where participants spend a day with Hervé, a traditional Polynesian navigator, healer, and storyteller. In the intimacy of his home, surrounded by his garden and sacred mara'e, Hervé shares his profound knowledge of ancestral practices, offering a rare glimpse into a way of life in harmony with nature. This encounter provides a deep connection to the cultural and spiritual essence of French Polynesia, far from conventional tourist paths.


EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY

Through long-standing partnerships with local associations, we actively support vulnerable women and children, particularly those affected by domestic violence. By sponsoring activities and experiences that are part of their healing and reintegration programs, we help create moments of joy, self-confidence, and connection—small but powerful steps on the path to rebuilding lives.

Between 90% and 100% of the people employed by us and our local operating partners are from the country. From our office staff to our guides, our entire team is composed of local people, mostly women.

We collaborate with marginalized groups, notably women experiencing homelessness, by sourcing all our guest welcome bags from a local shelter initiative. Each bag is handmade from recycled materials, offering both an income stream and a sense of pride to individuals facing difficult transitions.
This itinerary includes the Polynesia of Yesteryear immersion which offers travelers a unique opportunity to connect with indigenous Polynesian culture. This experience supports local communities by providing income-generating opportunities for individuals who are often marginalized in the tourism sector.

All our partners are paid above the minimum wage and benefit from social security coverage. We are committed to fair working conditions and long-term, respectful collaborations with all our local partners.

This trip is LGBTQ+ friendly, designed to offer a respectful and inclusive space for all. It is also suitable for people with limited mobility, vision, hearing, or cognitive challenges. We are also actively working in collaboration with a local federation for people with reduced mobility (PRM) to further improve our services and ensure they align with their specific needs and expectations.

We are developing a “Trip for a Trip” initiative aimed at offering immersive day experiences to children from underprivileged neighborhoods. During these special days, the children will take part in environmental education activities designed to raise awareness about the importance of protecting our natural surroundings.
They will join unique experiences such as the “Corals for Our Lagoon” citizen science immersion and the Marine Epic, Dolphin and Horizons in the island of Moorea. These outings will be entirely funded through donations collected from our regular tours as well as contributions from individual donors, ensuring no cost for the participating children.
Every journey booked through us contributes directly to these efforts. This is our way of ensuring that travel leaves behind not just footprints, but hope, solidarity, and opportunity—woven into the very fabric of the places and people our travelers encounter.
