During our time here, we’ll take gentle guided walks through the historic streets, along canals, and across the famous bridges, allowing you to experience the city at a relaxed pace. Feel the textures of the cobblestones underfoot, hear the gentle lapping of water against the gondolas, and enjoy the bustle of markets and piazzas. We also include guided boat rides through the canals, where the sounds of rowing, water, and distant bells create a unique sensory experience of Venice.

Vegetarian and vegan options: We ensure vegetarian and vegan options are available throughout the trip by visiting local markets and restaurants with meat-free selections. During a hands-on Venetian cooking class, you’ll prepare and taste traditional dishes adapted for all diets, experiencing the aromas, textures, and flavours of Venetian cuisine.

ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE

Heritage and culture: Venice is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and we will explore its historic heart, including iconic piazzas, churches, and palaces. Highlights include a visit to a traditional artisan workshop, such as a mask maker, where you can touch and feel the textures of the materials while learning about their craft. Throughout our explorations, we encourage sustainable travel practices, and in some cases, our entrance fees contribute to the preservation of Venice’s cultural treasures for future visitors.

Urban wildlife and environment: While Venice is a city, it is also home to unique urban wildlife. On our guided boat excursions through the canals and lagoon, you may hear and sense birds such as herons, gulls, and cormorants, and learn about the delicate ecosystem of the Venetian lagoon. Our expert guides will ensure all interactions are respectful and highlight the importance of protecting the natural and built environment.

Our trips are carefully planned to cater to various needs, including those with physical or sensory impairments. Assistance is available from the moment a client arrives at a destination until departure. On Tailored vacations, support is provided as much or as little as required depending on levels of sight and mobility. For Group trips, support is provided for every two clients, depending on individual needs. Circumstances requiring additional support, including personal care or help during meal times, are assessed individually, and we do our utmost to accommodate all travelers.
