Ethics while photographing in the Atacama Desert:
This tour explores some of Chile’s most fragile desert and high-altitude ecosystems. We operate with small groups and follow strict guidelines to avoid disturbing wildlife, including flamingos, vicuñas, and other native species. Photography and exploration are conducted with care, respecting the natural environment and local conservation regulations. By prioritising low-impact travel, responsible waste management, and awareness of sensitive landscapes like the salt flats, lagoons, and geysers, we aim to preserve these unique ecosystems for future generations.

Paths and sensitive areas are respected; leave-no-trace is always the rule - no litter, no altering the landscape, and no interfering with plant or animal behaviour.
To reduce our footprint, we favour rechargeable batteries, reusable bottles, refillable filter systems, and the minimisation of single-use plastics.

On this photo tour, we work with local guides, artisans, and family-run accommodation in and around San Pedro de Atacama, high-altitude villages, and small desert communities. Wherever possible, meals, services, and transport are sourced locally, helping support sustainable livelihoods and the regional economy. Guests have the opportunity to connect directly with communities, gaining insight into traditional ways of life while ensuring that tourism benefits the people who call these extraordinary landscapes home.
