CARBON REDUCTIONThe North Sardinia Multi-Adventure Tour is designed to be active and low-impact, encouraging exploration by foot, bike, and kayak rather than by car. Over five days of the itinerary are dedicated to human-powered activities such as trekking in the Supramonte, cycling through rural landscapes near Orosei, and hiking in the granite peaks of Mount Limbara.
All long transfers are made using local minibuses, reducing emissions compared to private transport. Our partner accommodations, small locally owned agriturismi and family-run hotels, use renewable energy and water-saving systems wherever possible. Guests are encouraged to use refillable bottles and avoid single-use plastics.
Meals are based on local, seasonal produce, often sourced directly from nearby farms. Vegetarian and vegan options are available daily, and guests are invited to support local restaurants that prioritise regional ingredients. Travelers also receive pre-trip advice on how to reduce their environmental impact during their vacation.
ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE
This tour crosses some of northern Sardinia’s most pristine natural areas, from the Biderosa Nature Reserve and the Gulf of Orosei to the Supramonte mountains and Gallura’s granite hills. Each region is known for its rich biodiversity, from Mediterranean scrub to wild goats, eagles, and endemic plant species.
Our local nature guides are trained in environmental education and follow Leave No Trace principles, teaching travelers how to respect wildlife and fragile habitats. In protected areas like Biderosa, where visitor numbers are strictly limited, part of the entrance fees contribute to habitat preservation and trail maintenance.
By choosing this adventure, guests actively support responsible and nature-positive tourism, helping preserve Sardinia’s ecosystems while enjoying them respectfully.
People
LOCAL ECONOMYThis trip is entirely built around Sardinian-owned businesses and aims to strengthen the island’s local economy. Every accommodation is family-run (from agriturismi surrounded by vineyards to small hotels near Orosei) ensuring that tourism income stays in the community.
We work exclusively with local guides, drivers, and small producers, all passionate about their region and culture. Travelers experience authentic local life through wine tastings, cheese-making visits, and a traditional pasta workshop in Gallura, where food and stories are shared directly with local families.
The tour also encourages spending in small markets and village cooperatives, helping sustain rural economies and traditional crafts. By choosing local suppliers and staying longer in each area, travelers contribute to spreading the benefits of tourism more evenly across northern Sardinia, beyond the main coastal resorts.
EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY
Over 90% of the people involved in this tour (from guides to hosts) are Sardinian residents, providing stable income in regions where seasonal work dominates. Many of our partners are women-led businesses, including agriturismo owners and trekking guides, demonstrating how tourism can promote gender equality and empowerment.
We ensure all collaborators are fairly paid and treated with respect, regardless of gender, origin, or background. The tour is LGBTQ+ friendly and welcomes travelers from all walks of life. Accommodations are selected for their inclusive approach and their willingness to adapt for guests with limited mobility or specific needs.
By joining this adventure, travelers help sustain authentic, community-based tourism, supporting local livelihoods while preserving Sardinia’s cultural and natural heritage for future generations.
