CARBON REDUCTION

No internal flights are used or required. The route between Kochi, Munnar, Madurai, Thekkady and the backwaters is completed overland in one chauffeur-driven vehicle. This avoids several possible domestic air sectors. Private road transport still creates emissions, so it should not be described as carbon-free, but the continuous route removes the need for repeated airport transfers and short-haul flights.

The same vehicle and driver are retained for the main touring section rather than separate vehicles being sent from each destination. Hotel Arches, Heritage Madurai and Flamingo Marari do not publish enough measurable environmental information to support stronger claims in this listing. General statements about gardens, heritage architecture or proximity to nature have not been treated as proof of conservation work.

No entrance to Eravikulam National Park is guaranteed. It is an optional possibility on Day 4 and must be confirmed separately. The two days in Thekkady do not automatically include Periyar Tiger Reserve, a wildlife drive, bamboo rafting or a nature guide. The included Kathakali performance supports a living performance tradition rather than treating Kathakali solely as a historical display. Visits to functioning places of worship are led by local guides and should be conducted according to the rules set by the religious communities themselves.
