CARBON REDUCTION

This tour is designed to minimize carbon emissions through thoughtful route planning and low-impact travel across Armenia and Georgia. By traveling overland between destinations, including the journey across the Caucasus, we avoid unnecessary internal flights and reduce the overall carbon footprint of the trip. Walking tours are prioritised in cities such as Yerevan and Tbilisi, as well as at key cultural and historical sites, reducing reliance on vehicles wherever possible.

The itinerary is intentionally paced to avoid excessive travel distances, allowing travelers to spend more time in each destination rather than rushing between locations. Small group sizes (maximum 15 travelers) further reduce per-person emissions while enabling more flexible, lower-impact transport options. We also encourage travelers to adopt responsible travel habits through pre-departure guidance, including tips on packing light, reducing waste, and making more sustainable choices throughout the journey.

By focusing on community-owned accommodation and immersive, place-based experiences, we reduce the environmental impact associated with large-scale tourism while creating a more meaningful and responsible way to explore the Caucasus region.

Accommodation is carefully selected to prioritize independent hotels and guesthouses, while meals are arranged in locally run restaurants that showcase regional cuisine and culinary traditions.

The itinerary includes visits to wineries, markets, and community-based experiences that create direct economic opportunities for local producers, artisans, and hospitality providers. By keeping group sizes small, we are able to support smaller, family-run enterprises rather than large international chains.

We are committed to ensuring that tourism revenue remains within the communities visited. By collaborating with local partners in the design and delivery of this tour, we help sustain livelihoods, encourage entrepreneurship, and support the preservation of cultural heritage across the region.
