Vegetarian options are typically available at Hassness Country House, and vegan or other dietary requirements can often be catered for when requested in advance. Guests should advise any dietary needs at the time of booking to ensure suitable arrangements can be made.

Along the way, walkers have opportunities to visit traditional Lakeland villages such as Buttermere and Loweswater, enjoy refreshments in local pubs and tearooms, and discover independently owned businesses that play an important role in sustaining these remote communities.
