Small group family vacation
This is a 'small group family adventure' - typically you will join several other families and travel in a group of approx. 16 people. The trips are great value and a great way for you and your children to meet new people! While itineraries are pre-planned there is some flexibility and you'll have plenty of time to yourselves. Please check with the operator to confirm the minimum age for this tripResponsible tourism
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your vacation will help support conservation and local people.

Our Tour Leaders are all trained by us in the importance of responsible tourism with guidance given on how they can make a difference. This then percolates down through those they deal with.
In addition to the above, we are continually looking for ways to improve and are proud to be ‘Responsible in everything we do’. Education is key and so all staff, Tour Leaders and partnering suppliers are trained in responsible and sustainable tourism. At our Head Office, we continually strive towards a sustainable and planet-friendly working environment, including having solar panels installed and a company commitment to reducing our plastic usage. As well as this, we have valuable and longstanding partnerships with UK charities Toilet Twinning and Send a Cow, plus many smaller initiatives and projects around the world. We’re members of UK travel industry bodies Tourism Concern and AITO because we believe it’s important to share our knowledge and experience, as well as learn from other operators. As a company we support Cool Earth. Protecting rainforest is one of the most effective actions to tackle climate breakdown. CoolEarth work with indigenous communities empowering them to conserve their forest; keeping CO2 locked in.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Swimming and snorkelling in the Mediterranean. Lovely food on the boat.
2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Bring sea sickness pills, ear plugs, portable batteries for charging devices and plenty of sunscreen.
3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
A little perhaps
4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Good.
To improve it, leader should learn people's names, and engage with the group better. We had a large cockroach in our cabin one day. Even before that I was not sure when the bedding had been washed last. Better to moor in quiet bays rather than noisy light-filled towns. While the food was very good for the adults, on several days it would have been better to have had a child friendly alternative, eg without the sauce, and an alternative to fish. An honesty system would be nicer for the cold drinks. Availability of snacks would have been good, perhaps some of the leftovers could have been used instead of being instantly thrown away. A shame that water glasses and water were cleared away so fast after meals. Cabin would have been better with adequate (led) lighting, and many more hooks (hard to keep stuff tidy). And the window had no
catches and only a broken snorkel to hold it open. But bathroom better than expected. Would have liked to be allowed much more time in the Saklikent Gorge.

Dear Dr Swale
Re Trip – Family Cruising the Turquoise Coast
Thank you for your feedback regarding the above vacation, forwarded to us by Responsible Travel.
We are sorry that you were disappointed with a few aspects of the cruise, although you found the overall experience enjoyable, and we really appreciate your suggestions for improvement. We have passed these on to our local agent, who will discuss them with the crew to see if the changes you’ve recommended can be implemented, especially in regards to the food and drink.
We haven’t had any issues with noise before, but we have also reminded the crew to be more mindful of this, and to moor somewhere quieter if possible. Please let us assure you that all the bedding is changed prior to each departure.
Thank you again for taking the time to contact us and I do hope we can welcome you and your family on another tour in the near future.
