Our trail running vacations
Our trail running vacations are ‘no walk in the park' but they don’t fail to make the run fun. In fact, ‘extreme fun’ would be a good way to summarise these adventurous fitness trips, as you traverse ruggedly beautiful and challenging landscapes in the company of like-minded souls, led by expert trail running guides and coaches. You'll need to be in good shape, and adequately kitted out, but enthusiastic amateur trail runners are just as welcome as the more experienced, with a range of destinations and types of trip to choose from. See you out there.

Highlights of our trail running vacations
What to expect
These are generally small group trips, where you’ll be running with five or more other people. There will be a range of experience and abilities, but expect an inclusive, motivational dynamic. Local guides who know the routes well and are trained in mountain safety accompany you. After every run, you’ll return to comfortable accommodation where you can relax and enjoy a hearty feed.
If you’re short on time there are trips taking place over long weekends, while week-long trail running vacations allow you to mix things up with short runs on rest days. There are autumn training camps, marking the end of the running season for the year, while also providing tips for maintaining fitness over the winter months. Other vacations are ideal if you are transitioning from road running or just fancy a change, and though small group trips are ideal for solo travelers, some can be combined with hiking for non-running friends and partners.

Where can you go on a trail running vacation
Trail running is at its best when you get a variety of terrain offering both challenge and a picturesque setting. You’ll find plenty of both in our range of trail running vacations. Enjoy some fell running in Snowdonia National Park, North Wales, with dramatic mountain peaks all around you. Or, if that’s not challenging enough for you, try running across the entire country.
In Ordesa National Park, in the Spanish Pyrenees, runners can tackle a blend of mountain ridges and high passes combined with fragrant forest paths, with vultures flying overhead. And in Kenya, you can pair a marathon with a safari when you run through the Lewa Conservancy.

We were so well looked after. I didn’t have to make a decision or think about anything other than the running and yoga. It was such a release and a very lovely break for my brain. read more
