Our family group sizes are small enough to avoid the crowds and reach some out-of-the-way places, but big enough for a good social mix. Our average group size of 10 allows us to hop aboard local boats, buses or trains, eat at friendly, family-run restaurants and kick back in traditional accommodation and homestays.
We know the biggest challenge on a family trip is keeping the kids entertained. So we’ve planned in advance. Nearly all of our hotels feature pools, and each day has a great mix of action-packed adventure and flexible free time. Your local leader can also suggest activities based on your kid’s hobbies or school curriculum.

Environment
Responsible mission: As adventure travelers we relish and celebrate the diversity of the world. We also recognise our obligation to protect the environments that we explore. Our aim is to tread lightly, whilst contributing to maintain the world’s culture and nature, and most importantly to engage the help of all our customers to utilise the potential of tourism as a tool to aid sustainable development. We believe that responsible travelers are welcome in the places that they visit.
Partnerships: As a company we support The Travel Foundation, a UK charity that has been established to promote responsible travel practises throughout the whole of the travel industry. We also work with a number of charity partners who work in the destinations that we visit; including Friends of Conservation and Born Free Foundation. We partner with many small grassroots projects throughout the destinations that we visit - they all share our responsible vision.
On this trip: We travel in small groups which has a minimal impact on the environment as we go. On this trip we use a local Indian agent, locally managed hotels and local leaders. Not only does this mean that more of the money we generate stays within the community, but their local knowledge and expertise helps us to better understand the environment in which we are traveling, whilst reinforcing within the local community that preserving this environment is both important and worthwhile.
Community
Giving something back: We have a foundation that collects the funds that you donate to us to support our projects. All our customers are invited to make a donation to the foundation at the time of booking. We will match every contribution that you make. You as a customer choose where these funds are used from a shortlist of nominated projects – so it really is YOUR foundation.
1 Reviews of Family vacation to India, sightseeing and safari
Reviewed on 22 Aug 2018 by Alexander Auboeck
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Taj Mahal, Amber Palace, Ranthambhore National Park.
2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Traveling in August is possible. The Monsoon did not affect us much. There are very few tourists and the countryside is green. Don't count on a good match
with other families.
3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
To the extent that one bought or consumed local products local people benefited. Our impact on the environment was negative (flights, local travel, bottled water, pools etc).
4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
The key is the guide and our guide was just brilliant and made all the difference. The last two/three days could be improved. Sightseeing in Nawalgarth and
Aslisar was virtual identical and was short. There was not much else to do. These days felt like a slow return to Delhi. Without this small weakness I would
have rated the vacation five.
