1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
I mainly went for a short crash course in Spanish and I was not disappointed. The school caters for all levels and is extremely expert. I joined a lovely small group only one of whom was British although everyone spoke perfect English. I left wanting more.
2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
I opted for photography workshops as well and they were one to one in my case. The hiking involved was testing for an older person although the teaching was good. This was my first trip to mainland Spain having visited the Balearic Islands many times with package vacations, so negotiating the travel arrangements by myself was something new and needed concentration. The Alhambra is of course something outstanding and not to be missed on a first trip to Granada but it would be a mistake to try to walk up to it or the visitor might be quite tired before even starting to enjoy the experience.
3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
I used public transport but apart from that I'm afraid not.
4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
I had a good time and the vacation finished much too soon.

Planet
We love historical monuments. And we believe that connecting with it is a powerful way of inspiring solutions to preserve it. That is why we want to explore Granada and its urban corners, such as the old arabic quarter of Albaicín or the Alhambra aerea, through a camera. We want to inspire you with its beauty and to make you an active part of the city and its culture. We organise this package in collaboration with local photographers.
Our guides will inform participants during the tours about the protection politics of the area and how to behave during the tour:
- we recommend to enter into the area walking; participantes have to walk up to the Alhambra.
- visitors have to maintain silence inside the palaces.
- visitos are not allowed to touch the walls pf the palaces.
- visitors should avoid to use flash.

We partner with local professional photographers. Also other local businesses such as public transport or restaurants where we are going to have a short break are involved in the organization of the tour. During two afternoons per week our photographer will lead the participants through the beautiful area of the old Arab quarter Albaicin. Thanks to this type of program there’s an incentive of the tourism, that gives the possibility to discover new places and permits the inhabitants of the area to obtain an economic benefit. The guide contact also with environmental NGOs in order to gather the knowledge, expertise and resources that make a difference in your travel and in the places that you visit. Another session will take place in areas such as the Alhambra or the Sacromonte gypsie quarter. Here our guide will inform participants about the different cultural activities in the city (such as Flamenco shows, guided visits to museums) which improves local tourism.Popular similar vacations
